Dental Radiography Certificate

Course Overview :

  • This 6 month course is comprised of a Record of Experience and written examination.
  • The awarding body for the Dental Radiography Certificate for dental nurse qualification is the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN). Tempdent is an accredited NEBDN training centre for Radiography.
  • It is taught out of working hours in our modern & comfortable Training Centres.

 

The Record of Experience is the supervised taking of 50 radiographs including:

  • 20 paralleling technique periapical radiographs
  • 10 panoramic radiographs
  • 10 Bitewing radiographs
  • 10 others including a minimum of 2 occlusals, 2 lateral cephalographs and 2 bi-secting angle periapical radiographs

 

The Dental Radiography syllabus covers the following topics;

  • Radiation Physics
  • Radiation Protection
  • Apparatus and Equipment
  • Processing and imaging
  • Technical instruction
  • Quality Assurance
  • Patient care
