The Continual Professional Development (CPD) of your dental team is essential in order for you to create an effective, smooth running dental practice.

In view of this and the imminent Statutory Registration of all dental nurses, Temp Dent offers the following courses;
• Oral Health Care NVQ level 3
• National Certificate for dental nurses
• Dental Receptionist Qualification
• Oral Health Education (Postgraduate dental nursing course)
• A variety of CPD courses for all of the Practice

o We run a selection of evening and weekend classes in order for us to fit in around your working hours, and therefore cause minimal disruption to your working day.

o We have been successfully running CPD sessions for the entire team either at your practice or at Tempdent since 2006. Many dental practices have found this a viable & cost effective route to provide CPD for the entire team together. o We have 2 intakes a year for the National Certificate (January & July), NVQ (March & September), & Oral Health Education (February & July).

o The Oral Health Care level 3 NVQ and dental receptionist qualification is fully government funded, and therefore free of charge to all dental nurses/receptionists who are under the age of 25 years old (as long as they are not categorized as overseas students.)

o Our pass rates in the National Certificate for dental nurses have been consistently high since we began running it in 2000. They have been between 82%-96% over the past 3 years. Two of our students were awarded the gold & silver award by the NEBDN for achieving the highest 2007 National Certificate exam results in the country. A Tempdent student was also awarded the silver award in 2006.

o Tempdent has proved to be a forerunner in the provision of the Oral Health Care NVQ level 3 & we have an unrivalled success rates & timeliness of student achievement.

o Tempdent is one of the first dental training providers in the UK to achieve a straight Grade 2 (Strong) by the Adult Learning Inspectorate (ALI) www.ali.gov.uk, which we are obviously very proud of. Tempdent are currently offering all dentists a £30 credit note voucher, which can be redeemed against temp or perm staff sent by Tempdent, for each dental nurse/receptionist that you place on either the dental receptionist, NVQ or National Certificate for Dental Nurses course. This is subject to course fees being paid in full before the credit note can be redeemed.
