At Tempdent, our mission goes beyond recruitment and training – we strive to create meaningful change across the dental sector and the communities it serves. Our commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles is embedded in everything we do, ensuring that every programme and service delivers measurable impact for learners, employers, jobseekers and wider society.
We’re proud to share highlights from our Impact Report, showcasing the incredible achievements of our dental apprenticeships, training, and recruitment services in 2025.
Empowering people
In 2025, we supported over 2,000 apprentices and learners, helping individuals from all backgrounds access career pathways in dentistry. Our programmes build social mobility and inclusion, with 14.7% of learners coming from ethnically diverse backgrounds, reflecting our commitment to building a workforce that mirrors the communities it serves.
Key outcomes for learners:
- 94% progressed into positive destinations, including further study
- 66% received promotions
- 74% took on additional responsibilities
- 98% reported improved physical and mental wellbeing
- 96% gained a clear idea of their future career goals
Strengthening communities
Our work strengthens dental teams and improves patient care nationwide. In the past year:
- We partnered with 378 new employers and supported over 1,113 learners, plus 400 post-registration course learners.
- Delivered 12,161 attended locum shifts, 9,408 Dental Nurse bookings, and 2,753 Dental Hygienist bookings, ensuring practices maintained service quality even during staffing challenges.
- Raised £1.2 million in levy funds, enabling 209 apprentices in SME practices to access training without financial strain.
Championing good governance
Our programmes are underpinned by strong compliance and accountability. 98% of employers recognise the strategic value of apprenticeships, and 98% of learners report satisfaction with communication and guidance, demonstrating the trust and transparency at the heart of our approach.
Protecting the environment
We continue to embed sustainability into our operations and promote environmental awareness through training and professional development initiatives – ensuring that growth is achieved responsibly and ethically.
