Key Responsibilities

  • Being the first point of contact for patients – in person and on the phone
  • Managing the appointment diary and coordinating bookings
  • Handling incoming calls, emails and patient enquiries
  • Processing payments and managing basic financial transactions
  • Maintaining accurate patient records on SOE/Exact
  • Managing referrals and keeping logs up to date
  • Supporting day to day practice administration and compliance tasks
  • Liaising with the clinical team to help maintain smooth patient flow
  • (The practice values previous exposure to a range of treatments – general dentistry, ortho, perio, surgery, hygiene etc. – but this role is front of house, not chairside nursing.)

The ideal candidate

You’ll be a great fit if you are:

  • An experienced Dental Receptionist – ideally with 2+ years’ experience in a dental practice
  • Confident using SOE/Exact or similar dental software
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Professional, friendly and patient focused
  • Comfortable working in a busy mixed NHS/private environment
  • Able to work in the UK (Right to Work required)
  • Able to complete an Enhanced DBS
  • The practice is particularly keen on candidates who are:
    • Ideally GDC registered, or
    • Experienced Dental Receptionists (2+ years) who are keen to train and develop – training will be provided.
