About the Role
Tempdent is recruiting on behalf of a dental practice in the Sturminster Newton area for a permanent Dental Nurse to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a busy practice supporting a varied patient base including NHS and private patients.
The Role
- Permanent position
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm
- Occasional Saturday shifts
- Salary from £14.00 per hour, with potential flexibility for the right candidate
- Immediate start available
- Based in the Sturminster Newton area
- Public parking available nearby
What We're Looking For
- GDC registration is essential
- Newly qualified Dental Nurses are welcome to apply
- Candidates with dental nursing experience are encouraged to apply
- UK Right to Work required
- Enhanced DBS required
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Organised and reliable team player
Key Responsibilities
- Providing chairside support during dental treatments
- Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms
- Assisting with cross-infection control procedures and sterilisation protocols
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Supporting reception and front-of-house duties when required
- Delivering excellent patient care and ensuring a positive patient experience
Practice Environment
- Mixed NHS and private practice
- 5-surgery practice
- Mixed patient base including NHS and private patients
- Dentally software used within the practice

Am I eligible for the Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship?
You may be eligible if you:
- Are 16 or older.
- Live in England and have the right to work in the UK.
- Are not currently in full-time education.
- Meet residency requirements (usually having lived in the UK or EEA for the past 3 years).
- Do not already hold a qualification at the same level or higher in a related subject.
