Taking Intra-Oral Radiographs

This module will help you to:

1. Understand attenuation of ionising radiation and the factors affecting it
2. Able to identify basic components of x-ray equipment used for intra-oral radiography
3. Aware of the different image receptor holders and secondary collimation
4. Able to understand the principles of geometric requirements for image production during all intra-oral techniques
5. Able to understand the principles of intra-oral radiography
6. Able to describe x-ray unit settings including applied potential (kV), tube current (mA) and exposure setting (mAs)
7. Aware of the how changing the above affects x-ray quality
