Recruitment Manager Role:

We are in a very exciting period of growth, and are looking to employ a new Recruitment Manager. Our office is based in Finchley, North London.

We are looking to recruit a highly successful and experienced Recruitment Manager, to drive Tempdent to become the leading national dental recruitment agency. You will be managing a team of 6 consultants and 1 resourcer. The team recruits for both temporary and permanent staff, for large corporate clients and for smaller independent practices. The team have good foundations to build on, but there is a lot of work to be done. You will therefore have the benefit of processes and systems being in place, which will allow you to focus on the more innovative, strategic and business development elements of the role.

Part-Time Assessor Role:

We have an outstanding opportunity for a trainee or qualified assessor in the Lake District, North Wales and Portsmouth areas.

Due to expansion, we now require additional workplace assessors to join our team on a part-time/flexible basis. The successful applicant(s) must be able to use their own initiative, work remotely and as part of a team.

We would like experienced and qualified dental nurse assessors, but are willing to provide training and the assessor qualification to the right candidate. All candidates must be qualified, GDC registered dental nurses.

20 January 2017: English for Overseas Speakers
This is a 5 month course that enhances your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. This course is suitable for individuals wishing to advance onto one of our two Dental Nursing courses and who needs to improve their English language level. The unique structure of this course will be beneficial to anyone; eager to achieve the appropriate level of English. It will enable you to progress onto all professional qualification(s) including Dental Nursing. This course is perfect for anyone wishing to further their academic studies or enter the employment market. By the end of the course, you will be able to use English in a wide range of situations with more confidence and accuracy.

Who should attend:

  • Anyone with English not as their main language, and/or wish to improve their verbal and written communication skills

23 January 2017: Advanced Apprenticeship Diploma in Dental Nursing - Online
The Diploma in Dental Nursing is a 12 month privately funded course and is comprised of the Level 3 Dental Diploma. This qualification too is awarded by City & Guilds and is delivered through our online platform.

Candidates must be employed as a dental nurse before enrolling onto either this course. If you are not currently employed as a dental nurse, please visit the National Apprenticeship Service website on https://www.gov.uk/apply-apprenticeship. Tempdent uploads new vacancies to the site on a daily basis.

Who should attend:

  • Anyone between the ages of 16 - 23 years old
  • Unqualified dental nurses already working as dental nurses
  • Candidates interested in becoming a dental nurse
  • Qualified but unregistered dental nurses who wish to obtain a dental nursing qualification and be registered with the GDC

26 January 2017: National Diploma in Dental Nursing
This 12 month dental nursing diploma course is comprised of a written examination, practical examinations and a workplace portfolio (Record of Experience). The awarding body for the National Diploma for dental nurse qualification is the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN.) Tempdent is an accredited NEBDN training centre. We offer a choice of evening, weekend and daytime classes in our modern and comfortable training centre.

Who should attend:

  • Unqualified dental nurses already working as dental nurses
  • Candidates interested in becoming a dental nurse
  • Qualified but unregistered dental nurses who wish to obtain a dental nursing qualification and be registered with the GDC
  • Overseas qualified dentists wishing to work as dental nurses in the UK

27 January 2017: Complaints Handling, Law and Ethics
During this 3 hour CPD session you will learn about the different types of communication and public perception. You will learn to identify the barriers to communication and learn how to overcome them. The course discusses dealing with a difficult situations, handling complaints and grievances, as well as your scope of practice and your responsibilities under GDC guidelines and legal responsibilities.

27 January 2017: IRMER 2000 Dental Radiography CPD
Review and update your dental radiography knowledge with this 3 hour CPD course. The session covers the essential core curriculum training and updates on IRR and IR(ME)R legislations to ensure full understanding of radiation and protection for staff and patients.
