10 February 2017: First Aid Appointed Person
This Health & Safety Executive (HSE) approved one day course is ideal for the Appointed Person in small - medium dental practice that present few health and safety risks.You will be continually assessed throughout the day by the trainer and will receive a certificate valid for three years at the end of the course.
Who should attend:
- Suited to all members of the dental team
- Candidates should be physically able to carry out the procedures covered by the course.
- This CPD is beneficial for all members of the team and is verifiable for all GDC registrants.

20 February 2017: Certificate in Dental Radiography - Online
Tempdent's Dental Radiography course runs for 6 months and is comprised of a Record of Experience and written examination. The awarding body for the Dental Radiography Certificate for Dental Nurses qualification is the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN). Tempdent is an accredited NEBDN training centre for radiography.
Who should attend:
- GDC registered dental nurses wishing to obtain a postgraduate dental nursing qualification
- GDC registered dental nurses wishing to progress into dental hygiene & therapy, teaching, assessing. Completion of the Dental Radiography course can increase your chances of acceptance into these courses
- GDC registered dental nurses wishing to be able to legally take a variety of radiographs in their practice

22 February 2017: Writing Dental Records and Compliance
Following this 3 hour CPD session, will be able to understand the legislation of record keeping, the importance of contemporaneous records and what the responsibilites of practice staff are in relation to confidentiality and record keeping.

During this 3 hour CPD, you will learn about relevant health & safety information in relation to manula handling and ergonomics, the causes of back pain and spinal anatomy. The course also discusses risk assessments.
