This Saturday, 22nd November, marks National Dental Nurses Day – a day dedicated to recognising the incredible work of Dental Nurses across the UK. At Tempdent, we champion Dental Nurses and those training to join this vital profession every single day, but this week, we want to shine an extra bright spotlight on their contribution to patient care and the dental industry.

Dental nurses play a diverse and essential role in dentistry – from supporting clinical procedures to ensuring patient comfort and safety. Their expertise and dedication make a real difference in every dental practice.

The Dental Nursing awards of excellence

Each year, on National Dental Nurses Day, the Society of British Dental Nurses (SBDN) presents the Dental Nursing Awards of Excellence. These awards honour outstanding professionals who go above and beyond in their roles. It’s a fantastic way to showcase the talent and dedication within the dental nursing community.

SBDN’s 10th anniversary summit – ‘The Future of Dental Nursing’

To celebrate their tenth anniversary, the Society of British Dental Nurses is hosting a summit on “The Future of Dental Nursing” in Manchester at The Alan Hotel, from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. All Dental Nurses, both qualified and in training are invited to the summit – get your tickets here.

Morning session speakers:

· Dr Kate Taylor – Oral MaxFac Consultant, BAOS

· Debbie Hemington – President of BADT
