The aim of this module is to enable the learner to understand the different blood borne viruses that there are, the symptoms the patient experiences and how this affects treatment. 

• List the 3 blood borne viruses
• Discuss how each virus is caused
• Discuss how to treat/manage each blood borne virus
• Describe the long-term effect of the virus should they not be treated.
