The aim of this module was to educate and give understanding and information regarding the laws surrounding data protection in the practice and know what an individual’s responsibility is regarding this.

• Understand what data protection law is and how its relevant in a dental practice
• Know about the appointment of a Data Protection Officer and the roles and responsibilities of the Data Protection Officer 
• Know what are the rights that individuals have Under GDPR
• Understand how to Identify and action a data breach
• Understand how to transfer information securely.
