This CPD provides an introduction to inhalation sedation and the safety features / requirements for dental care professionals.

This will enable you to have a good knowledge of how Inhalation works, including the gases used and also what the Nurses responsability is during the procedure.

The aim of this module is to give you an understanding of the use of inhalation sedation for nervous patients.  

This CPD module provides you with 1 hour GDC verifiable CPD.

• Understand the definition of conscious sedation
• Know the advantages and disadvantages of inhalation sedation
• Understand the key safety features of the inhalation sedation machine
• Explain the preoperative and post operative instructions to be given to patients following inhalation sedation
