The aims of this module are to understand first aid measures to deal with wounds, burns, fractures and shock.

• Name different types of wounds
• Identify signs and symptoms of severe bleeding, burns or scalds, bone fractures and clinical shock
• Describe actions needed to counter severe bleeding, burns or scalds, bone fractures and clinical shock
• List the stages of dealing with splinters and eye injuries
• Describe the stages involved in accident reporting
