Locum Prison Dentist

Salary: £400 fixed day rate
Hours: Part-time, Locum
Days: Monday to Friday (Any 3)
Location: Greater London

We are recruiting for an experienced Locum Dentist to work 3 days a week in various HM prisons in Greater London.

Your locum role will include providing high-quality dental care including assessment on first admission, routine NHS Dental care and advice and preventative oral health advice and promotion.

The day is generally from 8:30 am to 5 pm, which is 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Sessions don’t generally start before 9:00 but it will take time for the dentist to get from the gate to the dental surgery due to the establishment.

They will also have a longer break in between the morning and the afternoon sessions, which is generally between 12:00 and 14:00 It would be unlikely for them to see more than 12 patients per day and we have Exact SOE on all sites.

We generally pay a day rate of £400/day.

This is an ongoing locum prison job for a Dentist who has a fit-tested FFP3 mask, other PPE will be provided by the HMP.

Days required: Monday to Friday (Any 3 days)

Hours: 8:30am to 5pm / 9:00am to 5:30pm

Pay: £400 fixed Day rate

Start: June 2022

The ideal locum Dentist must have previous working experience within the NHS or community dental and/or working in a secure unit like prisons.

Must be GDC registered and hold an active NHS performer number.

Please note; that successful candidates with no previous security clearance will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure, references and security vetting prior to locum work commencing.
